ABU DHABI, Broadcasting News Corporation : The World Arabian Horse Organisation (WAHO) has approved Abu Dhabi hosting of its General Assembly meeting in February of 2025. The organisation has also approved other key proposals made by the UAE to improve the Arabian horse breed and provide the highest level of services to the owners and breeders around the world in order to develop their performance. This came during the WAHO’s week-long conference, which started on Monday in Amman, under the auspices of the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation. The UAE at the conference was represented by Mohamed Ahmed Al-Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), who said that the UAE’s participation in the international conference comes to further consolidate its significant role in supporting and taking care of purebred Arabian horses. “The Emirates Arabian Horse Society has fielded important proposals to promote the bloodlines and heritage of the Arabian horse globally in implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, Chairman of the EAHS’ Board of Directors, and the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors,” he added. “Hosting the organisation’s meeting in 2025 is reflective of the global recognition of the UAE’s significant role in promoting the heritage of purebred Arabian horses around the world,” Al-Harbi noted.
