ABU DHABI, Broadcasting News Corporation :Major General Saeed Rashid Al Shehhi, Commander of the UAE Land Forces, separately received Lt. General Thierry Carlier, National Armaments Director and Director for International Relations at the Direction Generale de L’armement (DGA) of France, and Major General William Blaylock II, Commanding General of the 35th Infantry Division and Commander of Task Force Spartan of the US Land Forces. During the two meetings, Major General Al Shehhi welcomed the two guests and lauded their advanced level of friendship and cooperation, while stressing his keenness to enhance their overall cooperation, most notably in military and defence areas. He highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the UAE with both France and the US over the past decades, most notably in the defence industries.
