Broadcasting News Corporation: On Monday (12 August 2024 AD), Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC went to Jessore CMH to see officers, JCOs and other ranks of army personnel injured in the attack by protesters at Gopinathpur of Sadar Upazila of Gopalganj. After that he inspected the activities of army personnel deployed at army camp located in Khulna.
After the visit, he interacted with the army personnel of all ranks and gave necessary directions. Besides General Officer Commanding (GOC) 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander Jessore Area, senior military officers of Army Headquarters, Divisional Commissioner Khulna, senior officers of local civil administration, senior officers of Police, BGB and RAB were present.
