Ashis Chowdhury, Special Correspondent, Broadcasting News Corporation: Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus lays wreath at Central Shaheed Minar along with 13 Advisers of Interim Government.
On Friday (August 9, 2024 AD) morning, they paid tribute to the brave martyrs of the language movement by placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar. First Dr. Yunus laid the wreath at 11:15 am
and stood there in silence for a while paying deep respect to the memory of the martyrs of the language movement. Later, other advisors of the newly formed interim government also paid tribute to the martyrs of the language movement by placing wreaths. After placing the wreath, Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed said, “After ensuring the stability of the law and order situation, we will work to compensate the financial loss by focusing on the development of people’s livelihood.” Adviser Nahid Islam from the student representatives said, “The discriminatory government system has collapsed due to the students’ movement. As promised to the students, we will reform the entire system with their passion.”
