Need to establish communal-harmony society: Mia Golam Porwar

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar said, To take the country to a place of meaningful stability and development after the historic revolution of the students, it is necessary to establish a non-discriminatory, communal-harmonious society. We want to build a country free from fascism. The officials of the former fascist government, the party armed terrorists who have carried out anarchic killings in the country must be immediately brought to justice and exemplary punishment.

The rule of law, fundamental rights of all people must be ensured in every sector of the country. Officials who helped the misdeeds of the previous government should be removed and honest, efficient and professional officials should be appointed. The country’s economy must be strengthened by bringing back the money smuggled abroad by the fascists. He said that the interim government is continuing its activities to establish good governance in the country. The friends of fascism are continuing their efforts to destroy this peaceful environment of the country. So that the miscreants cannot destroy this victory of the students’ movement, everyone should be vocal regardless of caste and religion. He called on everyone to play a united role to deal with any situation.

He said these things in the afternoon of Sunday (10th November 2024 AD) in the speech of the chief guest at the gathering and exchange of views with the Hindus organized by the Dumuria Upazila Jamaat of Khulna district. Khulna District Amir Maulana Emran Hossain, District Assistant Secretary Munsi Moinul Islam and Professor Mia Golam Quddus were special guests in the meeting under the chairmanship of Upazila Amir Maulana Moktar Hossain. Babu Krishna Nandi, Principal Dev Prasad, Kanai Lal Karmakar, Dr. spoke among the Hindu leaders. Haridas Mandal, Babu Sadesh Halder etc.

Mia Golam Porwar said, “The first task of Jamaat-e-Islami is to help the anti-discrimination student movement in Bangladesh to build the dream of youth, justice, equality and non-sectarian country and to restore peace, order and recently, the administration and law enforcement forces in the ongoing situation.” Jamaat leaders and people of the Hindu community announced to work unitedly to maintain peace, order and recently in Dumuria

The Chief Guest announced Babu Krishna Nandi as President, Principal Babu Deb Prasad as General Secretary and Babu Gautam Mandal as Treasurer as Dumuria Upazila Hindu Committee with 11 members. Babu Prashant Mandal, vice president of the committee, Dr. Haridas Mondal and Kanai Lal Karmakar, Joint General Secretary Buddhadev Mondal and Amulya Kumar Sarkar, Pulkesh Mondal, Biplab Sarkar, Pradeep Kumar Sarkar declared as members. He tasked this committee to form a 101-member committee announced within the next week.
