Salah Uddin Ahmed, a member of the National Standing Committee of BNP, said that a vacancy in the post of President will create a state crisis and a constitutional crisis at this moment, which is not desirable for the nation.

He said that the post of President is a constitutional post, an institution, the highest constitutional post.

He said these things to reporters at BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Wednesday (October 23, 2024) afternoon. He also said that if there is a vacancy in this position through sudden resignation, constitutional vacuum will be created and state crisis will be created. The nation cannot wish for the transition to democracy to be delayed or obstructed or thorny by creating a state crisis.’

Mentioning that there is a conspiracy going on, Salah Uddin said, “Fallen fascism and their allies cannot do anything else here by making any kind of conspiracy.” For that we are calling everyone to be vigilant and we are united. All conspiracies will be countered unitedly.
