During the popular uprising of 2024, street children also took to the streets against the dictatorial Hasina government in various places including Gulisthan in the capital Dhaka. They also participated in the anti-fascist mass movement. The fascists raised slogans and fought on the streets against Hasina’s government. After that, many of these street children were injured by the police of Hasina government.

Mr. Tarek Rahman, the Acting Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP and the main sponsor of ‘Amra BNP Parivar’ has taken responsibility for the medical treatment of such injured street children including Suman, Ibrahim, Hriday and bristy.

On Saturday (October 19, 2024) on behalf of Tariq Rahman, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Chief Advisor of ‘We are BNP Family’ and Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, met several street children in the capital’s Gulistan and conveyed the message of taking overall responsibility for their treatment.

A mobile phone was given to the child Suman to treat the injured street children and keep track of them regularly.
