Those who were left behind during the previous government are now trying to raise their voices

Amir of Jamaat Islami Bangladesh Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, in the 18th election, the then Prime Minister said that he trusted me to conduct an impartial election. But he could not trust himself, he ended the election on the night of 29th instead of 30th December. People call this election, Nishi night election. They created a horrible state in the 24th election. The Awami League does not want the election itself, who are they who demand to come to the election now? Those who were left behind during the previous government are now trying to speak up. But just as the students have managed to get rid of dictatorship, they will be able to get rid of this ghost, inshallah.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the Rukon conference at Chapainawabganj Hefzul Madrasa premises on Saturday (October 19, 2024). The meeting was presided over by District Jamaat Ameer Maulana Abuzar Giffari.
Dhaka South Jamaat Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Rajshahi Metropolitan Ameer Alhaj Rafiqul Islam, former MP Latifur Rahman, Former mayor Nazrul Islam, former upazila chairman Mokhlesur Rahman etc.

Meanwhile, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said, the friends of Awami League said – will Awami League be able to come to the election in the next election of the interim government?
We say that if Awami League wanted an election, they could have provided proof of the election. They slaughtered the caretaker government. They have elected three times since coming to power. But they did not give a chance to the common people including the youth of this country to vote.

He said, 153 people passed without voting in the 14-year election. People did not go to vote then, because we forbade them to go to vote. You see the dogs were sleeping peacefully in the polling station, there was no crowd. People rejected them.
