Let’s fight dengue together: Rafiqul Islam

Health Secretary of BNP Doctor Rafiqul Islam said that the blood-sucking fascist government sitting on the shoulders of the people for 2 decades has been driven out by the students and the people together.

This time we all have to fight the terrible dengue mosquito together. Dengue outbreaks can certainly be prevented if urban residents make a concerted effort to eradicate the Aedes mosquito, the source of dengue. Doctor Rafiq said that BNP Acting Chairman Desh Nayak Tariq Rahman has already instructed the party leaders to first create public awareness to prevent dengue, and secondly to stand by the people of the city in case of dengue disease.

Accordingly, BNP-Dhaka Metropolitan South has already been conducting miking and leaflet distribution programs to create awareness, which will continue. BNP has formed a blood donation group for dengue patients in Dhaka city to meet the demand for blood platelets. In this group, the names of the leaders and activists of Nagar Dakshin BNP willing to donate blood will be given on a website along with the mobile numbers and blood groups. Two hotline numbers in Nagar Dakshin will be open 24 hours so that city dwellers can contact for necessary support with blood in case of dengue disease.

Doctor Rafiq urged the city residents to extend their hand of cooperation to make this initiative of BNP a success. He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a preparatory meeting of BNP Dhaka Metropolitan South at Bhasani auditorium of the metropolitan BNP office in Naya Paltan on Sunday (October 13, 2024 AD).

City BNP member secretary Tanveer Ahmed Robin presided over the meeting and all joint conveners of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP and leaders of police stations and wards were present in the meeting. In the president’s speech, Tanveer Ahmed Robin said that people have solved many big problems in the past with their goodwill and hard work. Dreadful diseases like diarrhea, cholera, smallpox have also been conquered. So this time, let us Dhaka residents unite and make our city free from Aedes mosquitoes and banish dengue forever.

Finally, leaflets were delivered to the 80 organizational wards of Dhaka Metropolitan South for the distribution of city dwellers, and from October 14, a program of rickshaw-yogi miking and door-to-door distribution of leaflets was announced in each ward every day.
