Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, do not be proud, do not transgress limits. Allah Ta’ala has given them (Awami League) some temporary consequences.

We hoped they would learn from it. But actually washing the coal does not remove the dirt. They could have found a way to apologize for their (Awami League) actions and be ashamed of the nation. Instead of doing that, they brought down the Ansar League. Without doing that, they brought down the Justice League. Without doing that, they claim this league. The League dropped that claim. They are trying to come back. Lately they are trying to come back in another form.

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the Historical Members Conference (RUCON) organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center on Sunday (October 13, 2024). He also said that they (Awami League) are trying to send a message to the world that

As long as we were in Bangladesh, we did not become extremism. We are not in Bangladesh, now there is extremism. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, the biggest extremists (Awami League) were the ones who gave hammers to their children and put helmets on their heads. Bigger extremists and terrorists have not been born in Bangladesh. Their regime was full of extremism and terror. They terrorized.

Now we will not do terrorism. We hate terrorism. We assured them. We will not take the law into our hands against any terrorism. They (Awami League) took the law into their hands, oppressed the people. We will not do this. We will seek remedy for oppression through existing laws in the country.
