RIYADH, Broadcasting News Corporation : The Minister of Commerce Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi is leading a Saudi delegation to Morocco for a four-day official visit, Saudi Press Agency reported. The delegation includes officials from 14 government agencies as well as private-sector representatives from 62 companies in Saudi Arabia. Al-Qasabi will meet the Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Riad Mazur on Monday to discuss ways to improve trade and investment relations and enable the two countries’ private sectors to increase trade volume. During his visit, Al-Qasabi will attend the Saudi-Moroccan Economy Forum on Tuesday, along with business leaders from both countries. The two countries will also sign two memorandum of cooperation in the field of mutual recognition of halal certificates for local products, as well as a draft program for technical cooperation between the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization and the Moroccan Institute for Standardization. Al-Qasabi will also open the commercial attache’s new headquarters in Casablanca, with the goal of facilitating Saudi exports into markets and attracting quality investments that contribute to the strengthening of trade relations between the two countries.
