The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has allowed Grameen Telecom officials including Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus to appeal. Monday (October 21, 2024 AD) The Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Refat Ahmed gave this order following the application of Dr. Yunus. The next hearing will be held on November 19.

Senior lawyer Abdullah-al-Mamun appeared in court for Muhammad Yunus. Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman heard on behalf of the state.

Barrister Mamun said the withdrawal of the case was illegal and not done legally. Moreover, Nobel laureate Prof. Yunus is the chief advisor of the interim government, so it can be considered that he can exert influence here.

We will deal with this case according to law. It is our constitutional right. He said, the Appellate Division today granted us leave to appeal on three grounds.
