Labor and Employment and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said, there has been a revolution in our country. After the revolution, nothing goes back to the old system, but we still have the old system. Due to the non-cooperation of some of the administration, stagnation is being created in the country. However, if there is a need to break the system, the system will be broken, if the need arises, the government will also think about new appointments to replace non-cooperatives in the administration.
On Saturday (19 October 2024 AD) in the conference room of the circuit house of the city, the adviser said these things during an exchange of views with the officials of the Chittagong division and district offices regarding the control of commodity prices and syndicates.
The Labor and Employment Adviser said that the government has given clear instructions on consumer rights, so that field level operations are conducted through the task force.
The plan to deliver farmers’ products directly to consumers through truck sales has been launched in Dhaka. It will also be launched in Chittagong very soon. Asif Mahmud also said that the administration should break the syndicate in terms of price control. The source of the syndicates should be identified and arrested under special powers if necessary. The market system must be brought back to the normal level by building a resistance against them, no matter how powerful they are. Private sector and entrepreneurs have to bypass syndicates and move towards a permanent solution.
Over the past few years, the youth community, from agricultural entrepreneurs and laborers, has been playing a leading role in the production of products. The government and administration will give maximum cooperation so that no syndicate business group can stop you.
The advisor said, there should be coordination between all the departments of the government. Everyone has to play an effective role to reduce human suffering and bring relief to public life. Accountability should be brought between the concerned departments in terms of product prices or law and order. We should try our best to reduce the suffering of people in new Bangladesh. This will increase the motivation among people and a new Bangladesh without discrimination will be started.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment. H. M. Under the chairmanship of Safikuzzaman, Chittagong Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Police Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and other government department officials were present.
