Secretary of Agriculture Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian said, the use of jute will be increased by improving the quality of jute fiber and making versatile jute products. For this purpose, the related research activities need to be increased. Agriculture Secretary on Thursday (October 17, 2024) at the conference room of the head office of the Jute Research Institute (BJRI) at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital said this while addressing the Chief Guest at the Annual Agricultural Research Review and Transfer of Innovative Technology Workshop.

The secretary directed the concerned to work for the expansion of versatile jute products. He also urged to prepare a roadmap for jute research activities in the next 20 years.
