Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Aleksandr Mantytsky held a meeting with Health and Family Welfare Adviser Nurjahan Begum. The meeting was held on Tuesday (October 15, 2024) at the Health Adviser’s office at the Secretariat in Dhaka.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Russian Ambassador congratulated Health Adviser Noor Jahan Begum on taking charge as the Health Adviser of the Interim Government and exchanged greetings.
In the meeting, Health Adviser Noorjahan Begum informed the Russian Ambassador about the treatment of Khokon Chandra Burman, who was seriously injured in the anti-discrimination movement.

The adviser sought Russia’s cooperation in the complex and time-consuming treatment of the injured Khokon.

The Russian ambassador has asked for documents related to the treatment of the injured person. He told the health advisor that he would inform the higher authorities in Russia about this.
Md Mamunur Rashid and Atul Sarkar, Joint Secretary of Health Services Department of the Ministry of Health were present in the meeting.
