High Commissioner of Ghana meets with the President

 

Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh, Ghana’s non-resident high commissioner assigned to Bangladesh, paid a farewell meeting with President Md Sahabuddin today at Bangabhaban. During the meeting, the President thanked the outgoing High Commissioner of Ghana for the successful performance of his duties.

The President said that Bangladesh attaches importance to the development of bilateral relations with Ghana. The President expressed hope that in the future, mutual relations between Bangladesh and Ghana in various fields including trade and investment will be expanded.

Mentioning that Bangladesh and Ghana have many potential sectors, the President said, both countries can work together in all these sectors and both countries can benefit. He emphasized on the exchange of visits between the two countries at the public-private level to exploit these possibilities.

The outgoing High Commissioner of Ghana thanked the President for his overall cooperation and said that Bangladesh and Ghana support and cooperate with each other in various international forums including the Commonwealth. He said that his country will work to take bilateral relations with Bangladesh to a new height. Senior Secretary of the President’s Office Nasimul Gani, Military Secretary Major General Mohammad Adil Chowdhury and President’s Press Secretary Md Zainal Abedin were present during the meeting.
