The Army Training and Doctrine Command provided medical financial and rehabilitation assistance to the flood victims

The 403 Battle Group under the Army Training and Doctrine Command of the Bangladesh Army organized a medical campaign on Monday (14 October 2024). 53 villages of 9 unions of Haluaghat and Dhobaura upazilas of Mymensingh district were flooded due to heavy rains and landslides from last October 03, 2024.

The 403 Battle Group under the Army Training and Doctrine Command of the Bangladesh Army has been continuously conducting rescue operations for flood victims. The helpless people trapped in various flood-affected areas have been rescued and shifted to safe places and humanitarian assistance is ongoing among them.

In continuation of this, this campaign conducted under the management of Headquarters Army Training and Doctrine Command and organized by 403 Battle Group to help the flood victims has provided free treatment and medicine to about 800 poor and distressed people of Haluaghat. A team of expert doctors provided emergency healthcare to the local people through this campaign. Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan, BGBM, BAM, NDC, PSC, Acting GOC of Headquarters Army Training and Doctrine Command inspected the activities of the said medical campaign and distributed relief items among the flood victims.

In addition, Acting GOC Haluaghat Upazila Army Camp provided the necessary material and cash assistance to 50 affected families for construction of houses. So far 403 Battle Group under HQ ArtDoc has rescued 369 people, distributed 2450 relief packets and provided free medical aid to 1800 people in Mymensingh distric. Bangladesh Army has always played a leading role in helping people during disasters and this ongoing operation in Mymensingh’s Haluaghat and Dhobaura is an example of that. Related authorities said that this type of humanitarian aid program will continue in the future.
