Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Nahid Islam on Saturday (October 12, 2024 AD) visited Dharamsabha Pujamandap of Rangpur Mahanagar and Ranu Agro Pujamandap of Syedpur Upazila of Nilphamari.

During the visit, he inquired about the overall arrangements of Durga Puja and exchanged Durga Puja greetings with Sanatan religious people. At this time, the advisor said, the law and order forces are active to ensure the security system in the pujamandap.

Anyone who tries to create disorder will be immediately brought to justice. Mentioning the security of the minority community as one of the responsibilities of the state, the advisor said the government is working to meet the demands of the minority community.

The government has made arrangements to compensate the minorities who have been affected by the recent untoward incident. The Information Adviser requested everyone’s cooperation in building a discrimination-free Bangladesh.
