Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar said, we need to maintain communal harmony for the prosperity of the country. There was a skepticism regarding the observance of the Autumn Durgo Festival.
The government was aware that Durgotsava should be well celebrated and the people of the country should celebrate the festival with joy. On the occasion of Durga Puja celebrations, the country’s administration and law and order forces have worked shoulder to shoulder in various puja mandaps.
The advisor made these remarks in a speech to the assembled devotees and pujaris after visiting the Puja Mandap at Sri Sri Sarvajanin Kali Mandir in Sanail, Singair, Manikganj on Saturday (October 12, 2024 AD) on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja. The adviser said the current government believes in an inclusive society.
Everyone is a citizen to the state. As a result all citizens will enjoy equal benefits. The government will try to protect the rights of the citizens. Citizens also have aspirations for government. Our core culture is a culture of tolerance. People of different religions have been living side by side in harmony in our country for ages. Enjoying each other’s festival.
We want that tradition to continue. Necessary measures have been taken by the government so that this harmony and social cohesion can stop the criminals. Puja celebration committee president Dr. Kamal Kanti Biswas presided over the function as Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manowar Hossain Molla and Superintendent of Police Md Bashir Ahmed spoke.
