A control room (control room) has been opened by the divisional and district social service office for the purpose of properly fulfilling the social responsibility of the pujamandaps for the proper celebration of Autumn Durga Puja-2024.
A control room has been set up centrally. Monitoring report of Pujamandap all over the country is being provided to this control room (control room contact number: 1098). 84 thousand workers of Ministry of Women and Children and Ministry of Social Welfare are fulfilling this social responsibility. Among them, 11,128 skilled and trained officers and employees of 1089 offices of the Ministry of Social Welfare are performing their duties with devotion.
Apart from departmental, district and upazila officials and employees of Social Services Department, there are 70 thousand voluntary organizations who are self-motivated and performing their duties in pujamands. Apart from the Directorate of Social Services, National Disability Development Foundation, Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council, Officers and employees of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Trust (Bangladesh), Physically Handicapped Protection Trust, Maitri Shilpa Neuro-Developmental Handicapped Protection Trust and Bangladesh Rehabilitation Council are performing this duty.
Officials and employees of the Ministry of Social Welfare are working as volunteers in a total of 32 thousand puja mandaps in the country from October 4 and will continue till October 13 tomorrow. Roster duty is being assigned to all officers/employees in Puja Mandap in 3 shifts of 8 hours per day. In this regard, instructions have been given to all departments/organizations under the ministry. Apart from this, the leave of all officers/employees (except Sanatan Dharma officials/employees) has been canceled during puja.
