Hindus Muslims Buddhists and Christians are not separate everyone is Bangladeshi

Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk I Azam, Bir Protik, said that in the country, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians are not separate; everyone is Bangladeshi. He stated that laws are enacted to ensure the rights of all people in the country, not for anyone with a specific identity. The government is working to ensure that every person is receiving equal rights under the law.

The adviser said this during a meeting with government officials about the Durga Puja and post-flood situation held on Thursday (October 10, 2024) in the conference room of the Chittagong Circuit House.

The adviser stated that our Bangladesh is extraordinarily beautiful and prosperous. Unfortunately, due to various mismanagements and corruption, the country has fallen into a devastated state. The victory of the student community in the anti-discrimination movement has provided an opportunity to change past mismanagement and corruption. Only if everyone can sing in one voice and be united can we build a prosperous Bangladesh.”

“During the meeting, Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Tofail Islam requested not to make any decisions or share information on social media without verifying and examining any incidents that occur.

The meeting was chaired by Chittagong District Commissioner Farida Khanam and attended by District Police Superintendent Raihan Uddin Khan, Additional Police Commissioner Engineer Abdul Mannan Mia, and senior officials from various government departments including RAB, NSI, Ansar, and VDP.

Later, Adviser Faruk I Azam, Bir Protik, visited the Sharodiya Durga Puja organized by the Chittagong City Corporation Puja Celebration Committee and exchanged views with the devotees who attended the puja.

During the visit, the adviser was accompanied by Chittagong City Corporation Administrator Tofail Islam, Chief Executive Officer of Chittagong City Corporation Sheikh Muhammad Tauhidul Islam, Chittagong District Commissioner Farida Khanam, Secretary of Chittagong City Corporation Mohammad Ashraful Amin, and President of the Puja Celebration Committee Ashutosh Das, among others.”
