AF Hasan Arif, Land Adviser said, Desired land services should be delivered at the doorstep of the grass root people. There is a limitation in the knowledge of modern land management among common people especially people in rural towns about land service activities. He suggested using the field level workers of various government institutions to motivate at the marginal level. He said that this will remove the fear and doubt among common people about land registration, payment of land tax and obtaining holding number. The adviser said these things while addressing the chief guest at the workshop on Automatic Land Administration and Management System (ELAMS) and Land Revenue Case Management, a special program of the Ministry of Lands at Bhoomi Bhavan on Tuesday (08 October 2024 AD). The adviser said a class sued the Ministry of Lands for grabbing state property. But the ministry did not receive the notice of the case on time, causing problems. In this regard, he advised the concerned officials of the Ministry of Land to be alert. Expatriates buy land and build houses in the country. Their land is often occupied and harassed by litigants. He gave instructions to support expatriates with special importance in land service activities.
