Chris Christie floats 2024 presidential run during ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ appearance

Gov. Christie made a run for president in 2016.

Broadcasting News Corporation : Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he was open to another run for the White House in 2024. The brash-talking Garden State pol floated the idea during an appearance on “Real Time With Bill Maher,” which aired Friday, in response to an audience question on the subject. “Sure,” he said, when if he was interested. “This show’s rubbing off on him, he’s getting very bold,” Maher said.
“Yeah, that was me, I never had the reputation of being bold. Wallflower type,” Christie shot back. Christie ran for president in 2016, along with 16 other major contenders — all of whom were defeated by Donald Trump. Though he later became a close ally of Trump, Christie distanced himself after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. “I’d like to see what happens in the midterms,” Christie said. “You know, all I heard in 2016 was that we’re going to do so much winning that we’re going to be tired of winning and we’re going to ask him not to win anymore.” He continued: “And we lost the House …. in ’18, we lost the presidency in ’20, we lost two Senate seats in Georgia in ’20. It’s a lot of losing. I think they might want to back to winning again.” NEWS COLLECTED FROM NEW YORK POST.
