Dhaka city has become a concrete city. There is no housing system for the poor here. It is our challenge to transform this city. The advisor said these things as the main speaker at the World Habitat Day 2024 discussion program organized by the Ministry of Housing and Public Works at Rajuk Auditorium in Dhaka on Monday (07 October 2024 AD). If we want to plan urban development involving the youth, it needs to start now, the advisor said. Massive reforms are being talked about. As soon as we get the time, we will start the renovation. He said that the quota will be removed for allotment of plots and will be made open to the people. Land will be given in Dhaka city through lottery. Ways should be made to bring the youth forward. We keep the door closed so that they cannot come. These doors should be opened for the people of Bangladesh, for the youth. Thousands of our workers, who are working to change Bangladesh. We need to stand by them and change this time. The special speaker of the event, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that a specific action plan is needed to make Dhaka livable. It is important to create a city vision for Dhaka. Not only should mega projects be done, greening should be increased. There should be open space, seating and opportunities for youth sports. Md.
