Ashis Chowdhury, Special Correspondent, Broadcasting News Corporation: Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-Uz Zaman held a meeting with Chief Adviser Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Secretaries of various Ministries and Departments, Civil society and political leaders. On Monday (12 August 2024), separate meetings were held at the Rashtriya Guest House, Yamuna. In the morning, Chief of Army Staff General Walker-Uz Zaman held a meeting with the Chief Adviser. Meanwhile, the Chief Adviser expressed his satisfaction with the significant improvement in law and order in the country. He praised the active role of the army. Senior officials of Bangladesh Army were present in the meeting. Later, secretaries of 25 ministries and departments held a meeting with the chief adviser. Meanwhile, the chief advisor inquired about the development projects under implementation of the concerned ministries. Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain was present at the time. Besides, the Chief Advisor held a meeting with the leaders of various political parties and civil society on this day.
