Sahabuddin appointed Bangladesh Supreme Court, High Court Division Judge Syed Refat Ahmed as the Chief Justice of Bangladesh under the authority given in Article 95(1) of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The appointment was made effective by taking oath at Bangabhaban.
