Bangladesh and Bhutan to work unitedly for Environmental Conservation and resilient future

Thimphu, Bhutan, Broadcasting News Corporation: Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Saber Hossain Chowdhury called on Prime Minister of Bhutan, Dasho Tshering Tobgay, at the Prime Minister’s Office, Gyalyong Tshokhang, in Thimphu, Bhutan on Monday afternoon. Prime Minister Tobgay thanked environment minister for visiting Bhutan and commended Bangladesh’s proactive approach and reiterated Bhutan’s support for joint initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and resilience in the region. Minister Chowdhury congratulated Prime Minister on his party’s landslide election victory and for being elected as PM for second time. He also invited him on behalf of honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit Bangladesh and he is looking forward to visiting. He also highlighted Bangladesh’s ongoing efforts in combating climate change and protecting biodiversity. Both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing potential collaboration between Bangladesh and Bhutan in regional connectivity, climate change, ecotourism, hydro energy, investment, health and infrastructure, among others. This meeting marks a significant step towards fostering stronger ties between Bangladesh and Bhutan and underscores the shared vision of both nations for a sustainable and environmentally resilient future.
