RAB-11 has arrested a young man for inciting an eighth grade student to commit suicide in Lakshmipur. He was arrested from Zamindarhat area of ​​Ward No. 9 of Rasulpur Union, Begumganj, Noakhali, on Friday (November 8, 2024). The arrested Md. Omar alias Rahim (20) is the son of Md. Zaker Hesse of Hyderganjigo village of Charlrance village of Charlrance Union ward number 4 of Kamal Nagar police station, Laxmipur.

According to RAB, the victim of the case was an eighth grade student of a local madrasa. He used to study and write from home with his mother as his father was abroad. The victim was regularly molested by Omar alias Rahim on his way to and from the madrasa. The victim could not tolerate such activities of the accused and was humiliated and hanged himself by writing a note in his own hand on the afternoon of August 23.

The victim’s mother filed a case at Lakshmipur’s Kamalnagar police station as a plaintiff.
