A harmony dialogue was held at Upazila Parishad hall on Monday (October 21, 2024) organized by Youth Ending Hunger and The Hunger Project Bangladesh in Patnitala, Naogaon. Shashank Baran Roy, Senior Program Manager of The Hunger Project Bangladesh gave the welcome speech in the dialogue held under the chairmanship of Patnitala Press Club and Upazila Sujan President Alhaj Bulbul Chowdhury.
He said “There is no substitute for harmony to continue the development of society. The creation of society through the grouping of people. The creation of human society is the continuation of this. People are mainly grouped through harmony.
When people came together they created new horizons. Harmony is essential for the overall well-being and progress of a nation. Harmony creates relationships of mutual respect, understanding and empathy between people of different identities. The society develops the latent talents of every human being.
A dignified life is assured. Peace, order and welfare of the society is ensured. Youth Ending Hunger and The Hunger Project are jointly conducting activities in Patnitala Upazila and Naogaon.
Conciliatory dialogue will take the region, including Patnitala, to unique heights.”

In building Naogaon of harmony, knowing people of different identity and their culture, showing respect for other’s beliefs, culture, religion, creating mutual relations, exchange of ideas, cultural exchanges, Organizing and participating in collective festivals, practicing respect for different opinions, analyzing opinions with conscience and logic, taking united initiatives of people,
He announced that he will hold various programs including giving priority to harmony in weekly discussions in every religious institution.
Patnitala has been conducting various activities including youth leadership training, social harmony workshops, campaigns, dialogues, CSO Karbo workshops through the implementation of the program titled Freedom of Religion or Belief with the help of UK Aid.
