International Handwashing Day celebrated at Patnitala in Naogaon

Keeping clean hands always important in health protection, the International Handwashing Day was celebrated at Naogaon Patnitala on the initiative of Public Health Engineer, Najipur Municipality and Upazila Administration. On Tuesday (October 15, 2024 AD), a hand washing program was held at the end of a mass rally with school students in the Upazila Parishad premises. On this occasion, hand washing techniques were taught to the students of different schools. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mocha Popi Khatun spoke as the chief guest on the occasion.

The guests said hand washing is a promotional day to create public awareness. The day is celebrated worldwide on 15 October every year. The day is observed to create awareness among the public to prevent the spread of disease by washing hands with soap.
