A young man named Nazmul Hossain (22) died of dengue in Mymensingh Medical College (MAMEC) Hospital. Nazmul Hossain who died due to dengue is the son of Hira Mia of Bitibari area of ​​Muktagachha upazila.

Dengue Focal Person of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Dr. Mohiuddin Khan Moon confirmed this information. He said that Nazmul Hossain was admitted to the hospital due to dengue on October 10. Then on Sunday (October 13, 2024) around 4:30 am, he died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Nazmul was already suffering from complications of lung infection and salt deficiency in the blood. Currently, a total of 28 dengue patients are under treatment in this hospital, said Dr. the moon.

Among them there are 21 men, 3 women and 4 children. Besides, 18 new patients with dengue have been admitted in the last 24 hours, 22 have recovered and returned home.
