Ambassador of the Republic of Korea appointed in Bangladesh Mr. The Park Young Shik meeting of Jamaat leaders including Ameer Jamaat Shafiqur Rahman has been completed. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said at the press briefing after the meeting on Tuesday (October 8, 2024 AD) at 10:30 AM. Matters related to the interests of the two countries were discussed. Besides, we both expressed our views that the relations between the two countries can be taken to a better level in the future. As well as the recent coup d’état, Our country’s students, young youth-society, while agitating for the quota reform, have accepted the suppression of the government. In exchange of numerous lives, in exchange of the sacrifice of thousands of people, in exchange of fighting in exile in the country, this nation has been temporarily liberated. At this stage, how can Bangladesh work with the world community for the development, security and progress of the country’s people.
In particular, we discussed how Bangladesh and Korea can improve their partnership in this field. We discussed those who were injured and lost their precious body parts in recent agitations.
There was a discussion about what support Korea can provide from their health department, especially for those who have lost or are about to lose their sight. They assured us. They will think about it and hope they can help us. We need this cooperation very much at the moment. We also discussed how Bangladeshis living in Korea can contribute more and get more skilled workers from this country.
