The Department of Environment is providing health protection advice on air pollution

Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: According to the instructions of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury, the Department of Environment is providing health protection advice to the people if the air pollution level of Dhaka reaches hazardous levels. Considering the level of air pollution, information regarding this is being disseminated regularly on the website of the Department of Environment.
In the message published under the title of ‘Air Pollution Health Protection Advice’, if the air pollution in Dhaka is more than 300 on the air quality index, the public is advised to wear a mask when they are considered to be at risk. Besides, sick people, children and elderly people will be advised not to go out of the house unnecessarily or other advice will be given considering the level of pollution. The alert will be withdrawn if the air pollution level is less than 300 on the air quality index. It is to be noted that monitoring data of 16 Continuous Air Quality Monitoring System (CAMS) in other departmental and industrial cities of the country including Dhaka is being disseminated regularly on the website of the Department of Environment through real time automation.
