Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation : On the occasion of celebration of Great Victory Day, the Department of Mass Communication of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has organized a day-long mobile music performance in the capital Friday. Under the programme, a truck carrying music artistes will perform patriotic song at important points and popular places of the city like National Press Club, TSC of Dhaka University, Shahbag Crossing, Farmgate, Dhanmondi No. 32, Mirpur, FDC Ghat, Tejgaon Satrastar Crossing, Kunipara, Begunbari, Merul Badda, Gulshan Police Plaza. The programme will conclude at Tejgaon Hatir Jheel. Another musical performance using a launch will also be held under the auspices of Dhaka District Information Office. The programme will start at Sadar Ghat in the morning. It will cover spots like Swashan Ghat, Postogola and Basila along the Buriganga. The Department’s staff artistes, musicians, instrumentalists and guest artistes will participate in the musical concert. They will perform patriotic songs and songs based on our glorious liberation war. The Director General of Department of Mass Communication Md Zasim Uddin will inaugurate the mobile musical event at the Information Building, the headquarters of Mass Communication, on Circuit House Road in the capital. The Publicity and Coordination Wing of the Directorate will have overall supervision. It may be noted that as part of the Victory Day celebrations, apart from the regular activities, the Department of Mass Communication will organize film exhibitions at the initiative of the District and Upazila Information Offices across the country.
