Republican Jim Jordan says Hunter Biden probe will focus on ‘what happened in 2020’

Top House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Jim Jordan said he wants to know “what were those 51 intel people basing their letter on?”

WASHINGTON, Broadcasting news corporation : Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said a key part of the House of Representative’s looming Hunter Biden probe will focus on the run-up to the 2020 presidential election. Jordan, the ranking GOP member of the House Judiciary Committee, and his colleagues in Republican leadership have vowed a sweeping investigation should they retake the House in the 2022 midterm elections. “I think one of the key elements there is what happened in 2020, in the fall of 2020, just weeks before the election,” Jordan told Breitbart. “We had 51 former intelligence officials tell us that this was Russian disinformation. We had the FBI sit down with Facebook and say, ‘Hey, be careful, wink wink. We think there’s Russian disinformation,’” he continued. “All that was done to suppress that story, which had an impact on how people voted in the most important election we have, the election for president of the United States.” “I want to know what were those 51 intel people basing their letter on? What evidence did they have? Who were they talking to? … That definitely needs to be investigated.” Though the main Hunter Biden inquiry is expected to take place in the House Overnight Committee, at least some elements are being carried out by Judiciary. Last week Jordan sent a notice to former FBI agent Timothy Thibault demanding he preserve all documents relating to his involvement in the Hunter Biden case. Thibault was identified by a departmental whistleblower earlier this year as having moved to squash an internal probe of Biden’s son before the 2020 election. NEWS COLLECTED FROM NEW YORK POST.
