The District Narcotics Control Directorate arrested a drug dealer with 8 kg of ganja from Sonaimuri Upazila of Noakhali. At this time, cash of 4500 taka and an android mobile phone were seized.
On Monday (October 21, 2024 AD) around 8:30 pm, he was arrested from a garage in Paschimpara of Mutbi village of Ward No. 7 of Bajra Union of Upazila. The detained Md. Belal Hossain (41) is the son of deceased Jalal Ahmed of Bara Bhuiyan house of that village.

Assistant Director of District Narcotics Control Directorate Noakhali Office Mohammad Abdul Hamid confirmed this information. He said that the detained accused has been dealing in drugs for a long time.
On Monday night, on the basis of secret information, the officials of the District Narcotics Control Department conducted a garage raid in Paschimpara of Mutbi village of the upazila.
During the operation, 8 kg of ganja, 4500 rupees in cash for drug sales, an Android mobile were seized from the garage of drug dealer Belal.

Assistant Director of the District Narcotics Control Directorate Mohammad Abdul Hamid also said that preparations are underway to file a case under the Narcotics Control Act at Sonaimuri police station. He will be arrested and produced in the judicial court in that case.
