7th International Aviation Safety Seminar begins

A three-day international aviation safety seminar jointly organized by the Bangladesh Air Force and the Civil Aviation Authority began on Monday (21 October 2024) at Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka.

Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan, OSP, NPP, NDC, NCC, PSC inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest.

The main objective of this seminar is to discuss and exchange experiences on safe flight planning and management, reduction of flight accident risk, role of safe flight using modern technological excellence. So the main theme of this seminar is ‘Promoting Flight Safety by Embracing Technological Advancements’.

The chief guest expressed deep gratitude to Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority for organizing this international seminar. He expressed sincere thanks to the participants of the friendly air force as well as the professional pilots of Bangladesh.

As the world is witnessing tremendous speed in the field of technology, he hoped that the seminar would contribute to meeting the challenge of maintaining and improving aviation safety in increasingly complex situations. Discussions in various sessions will not only explore the potential of cutting-edge technologies but also help in their effective implementation by ensuring security, he said.

The chief guest hoped that the seminar would be successful with lively participation and exchange of experiences.

Bangladesh Air Force and Civil Aviation Authority to ensure flight safety and Air force officials from Bahrain, Indonesia, Myanmar, Russia, Qatar, Maldives, China, Kenya, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, USA and Zimbabwe are participating in the seminar.

Most of the non-governmental organizations in Bangladesh including the Ministry of Defense, Department of Armed Forces, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh, MIST etc. participated in the seminar. Representatives of airlines are participating. Note that this international seminar will end on 23 October 2024.
