An incident of theft occurred at Birampur Upazila Health Complex of Dinajpur district. At that time, the hospital authorities arrested a thief named Rana (25) red-handed and handed him over to the police station. The arrested thief Rana was sent to Dinajpur Jail on Sunday (October 20, 2024). The arrested Rana (25) is the son of the deceased Hanif Uddin of the Jagannathpur district of Birampur municipality. Ward number four councilor Md Mozaffar Rahman confirmed the matter.

According to the hospital sources, on Saturday (October 19, 2024 AD) at around 1 o’clock in the morning, they entered the hospital by climbing the eastern wall of the hospital. After entering the hospital, SS Grill, broken iron chairs, tables, windows and other furniture inside the flower garden were stolen.

Meanwhile, the people in the health complex sensed the presence of the thieves and chased the thieves and managed to arrest one thief, but the others escaped. Birampur Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Golam Rasul Rakhi said that many things were stolen from the hospital before.

After trying to catch the thief for a long time, I was able to catch the thief yesterday. The arrested thief has been handed over to Birampur police station. In this regard, Birampur police station officer in-charge (OC) Momtazul Haque said that a case of theft has been registered in the police station. The arrested thief Rana was sent to Dinajpur Jail on Sunday (October 20, 2024).
