The adviser said these things in a speech organized for the officers of 19 Ansar Battalion at Nowhata of Paba Upazila of Rajshahi on Sunday (October 20, 2024 AD).
The adviser said that various problems of the affiliated Ansars have been resolved. Both the battalion and the attached Ansar are performing their duties properly.
During this time, he gave instructions to perform the duties assigned to them more correctly in the future. Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said that the law and order situation is not very satisfactory but is improving. There is room for further improvement in the law and order situation. Ansar forces also have important responsibilities there.
The advisor also said that one of the reasons for the rise in commodity prices is the floods in Comilla, Feni and Noakhali in the south-eastern part of the country and the ongoing flood situation in Mymensingh and Sherpur. Comilla is one of the largest vegetable producing districts in the country. The price of vegetables has increased as the production has been damaged due to floods.
Earlier, the adviser visited Nowhata and Kharkhari markets of Rajshahi metropolis. There he inquired about the prices of various products. He advised the businessmen present to be careful so that there is no syndicate and extortion in the market. Besides, he also advised to inform law enforcement immediately if someone extorts
Meanwhile, the adviser visited the regional fertilizer depot of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) located in Amchattar of Rajshahi metropolis.
