Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “The great expectation of the nation is to escape from oppression. The responsibility of meeting the demands of those expectations falls especially on those who run the government and all those who do politics. Failure to fulfill this duty would constitute treason.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the Rukon conference of the local district Jamaat at Naowan field in Naogaon on Saturday (19 October 2024) afternoon.

Muhtaram Ameer thanked Allah at the beginning of the Jamaat speech and said, “In exchange of the tears and blood of many people, Allah has given us the opportunity to gather freely in this free field.
Recalling the last 15 and a half years of oppression and torture, he said that the Awami government brutally killed 57 smart and patriotic army officers through the Pilkhana massacre after coming to power. In the last 15 and a half years, the Awami government has tried to destroy us through hundreds of false cases, jail-oppression and attacks. Alhamdulillah, despite a hundred attempts, they were not able to finish us off

Addressing the journalists, he said, you have witnessed many incidents but they did not come out through your pen. Awami Fascists exerted pressure on the media and forced them to produce news in a script that was imposed on them. Despite all this, they have claimed that the media is independent. Ameer thanked the young and senior journalists for their work and requested them to produce and disseminate objective, true and accurate news while exchanging skills with the Jamaat journalists.

Ameer Jamaat remembered the martyrs of the anti-discrimination movement and gave full credit to the students for this victory. He said, this victory is not of any particular party or opinion. All those who have sacrificed themselves in this movement are the group of 18 crore people and the martyrs are 18 crore people. Ameer Jamaat expressed gratitude to the injured and martyred family members for getting the opportunity to stand beside the injured and martyred family members.
