Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Tauhid Hossain said that the International Criminal Tribunal has issued an arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina on charges of genocide. In that context, we will definitely take necessary measures to bring back Sheikh Hasina. The court gave one month time. We will certainly do whatever is necessary to bring him back in the meantime. The foreign advisor said this in response to a question during the press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (October 17, 2024).

When asked by what process Sheikh Hasina will be brought back, the foreign adviser said that it is not important how she will be brought back. Importantly, the court asked them to be arrested.
