155 acres of land illegally occupied was recovered

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan.

 

Under the special guidance of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, 155.09 acres of land seized by Bangladesh Forestry Development Corporation (BFIDC) under the Ministry has been recovered.

16 acres of Ramu rubber plantation in Chittagong zone, 61 acres of Raujan rubber plantation, 1.50 acres of Haldia rubber plantation, 10.10 acres of Dattamara rubber plantation and 11 acres of Raujan-Rangunia rubber plantation have been recovered. Besides, 23.74 acres of Rupaichhara rubber plantation in Sylhet zone has also been recovered.

Before this, 10 acres of Dabua rubber plantation, 13 acres of Kanchannagar rubber plantation and 18.75 acres of Rangamatia rubber plantation were expropriated. Chairman of Bangladesh Forestry Development Corporation Md. Nasir Uddin Ahmed said that these lands were recovered with the help of various law enforcement agencies.

The work of creating a rubber plantation is going on in this recovered land. Such land recovery activities will continue.
