Import-export operations have started at Sonamasjid land port in Chapainawabganj after being closed for six consecutive days on the occasion of autumn Durga Puja.

On Tuesday (October 15, 2024 AD), the manager of SonaMasjid Sthalbandar Panama Port Link Limited, Mainul Islam, confirmed the matter.

He said, on the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Hindus, the import-export trade activities through this port were closed from October 9 to October 14.

The import-export operations of the port between Bangladesh and India have started as usual from Tuesday morning.

He also said that Indian trucks are entering the port with imported goods since morning.
