Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “We want to give human dignity to people. We are firmly committed to unite people in the interest of the country and in the interest of the people without dividing the party and religion. Greater national unity is needed to move the country and nation forward. A divided nation can never prosper. Insults and insults are inevitable for a divided nation. We have been insulted and insulted for a long time.

It is time to change what can no longer be allowed to continue. That’s why we have to break out of the past.”
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the Sylhet District Jamaat’s Rukon conference on Friday (11 October 2024 AD). Under the chairmanship of Central Assistant Secretary General and Sylhet Region Director Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair and joint management of Zainal Abedin and Nazrul Islam, Central Executive Council member and Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan North Muhammad Salim Uddin, Shura member Professor Fazlur Rahman in Central Majlis, Central Working Council member and Sylhet Metropolitan Amir Fakhrul Islam spoke as special guest at the Rukon conference.

In the speech of the chief guest Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that a gathering that goes rotten is a burden for himself as well as a burden for the family and society. And a person who can match himself is an asset to himself, as well as an asset to the family, society and nation. So each of us must take the oath to be an asset.” He called upon the people of all sections of the society to come forward to work unitedly for the welfare of the country and nation.

Ameer Jamaat also said, “Welfare of the people is the ideology and motto of Jamaat politics. So the leaders and activists of Jamaat are always working tirelessly for the welfare of people. We have always been uncompromising in alleviating human suffering. We carry our own identity. I invite people to Quran-Hadith in practical language. And this invitation is a call to Almighty Allah and a right in religion. We want people to find their real address through our invitation.”
Maulana Habibur Rahman, Shura member of the Central Majlis, presented lectures from the great book Al-Quran in the conference.

Prof. Abdul Hannan, Amir of Sylhet District South, Naib Amir Maulana Lokman Ahmad, spoke. North District Amir Hafiz Maulana Anwar Hossain Khan, Nayeb Amir Syed Faizullah Bahar, Moulvibazar District Nayeb Amir Maulana Abdur Rahman, prominent Islamic Scholar Sheikh Azad Sobhan and others.
