In the aftermath of the uprising on the 24th, Mohammad Nabeen, a BBA student of Dhaka International University, and Raisur Rahman, a 12th-grade student from Noab Habibullah Model School and College, received medical assistance from the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the chief patron of “We Are BNP Family,” Mr. Tarique Rahman.
On Friday (October 11, 2024), after the Jummah prayers, a delegation from “We Are BNP Family” visited the Irshal Colony near the Kasai Bazaar railway gate in Uttara, Dhaka, to provide this medical assistance.
Mr. Tarique Rahman sent heartfelt messages of sympathy to the families of the two injured students, Mohammad Nabeen and Raisur Rahman, through BNP’s treasurer and advisor of “We Are BNP Family,” M. Rashiduzzaman Millat. Also present was the convener of the cell, journalist Atikur Rahman.
M. Rashiduzzaman Millat stated, “Students like Mohammad Nabeen had to wait for 17 long years for the results of the second independence that took place on August 5. Nabeen has lost his eyesight. Many from our Nationalist Student Front, Youth Front, Volunteer Front, and BNP have been injured and killed. Following Mr. Tarique Rahman’s directives, ‘We Are BNP Family’ stands by everyone now and will continue to do so in the future, Insha’Allah.”
Also present at the time were former vice-president of the Nationalist Youth Front S. M. Jahangir, member secretary of “We Are BNP Family,” agricultural scientist Md. Mokhsedul Momin (Mithun), and members Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Shakil Ahmed, Farhad Ali Sazib, Md. Rubel Amin, Shahadat Hossain, and vice-president of the private universities of the Nationalist Student Front Shariful Islam, among others.
