There is no security risk: The puja will be conducted undisturbed and peaceful

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) said, There is no security risk in the shrine. Durga Puja will be held smoothly and peacefully this time. That is why various steps have been taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The advisor said these things during the briefing of the journalists present after the visit of Sri Sri Ramana Kalimandi at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Sunday (06 October 2024 AD). The advisor said, Eight-point instructions have already been sent by the ministry to the field administration and law enforcement forces. Besides, sufficient members of Police, RAB and Ansar as well as Army, Navy and Air Force have been deployed to maintain law and order during Durga Puja. Moreover, arrangements have been made through the National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC) to ensure that any incident occurs immediately. The advisor also said, This time volunteers have been appointed in all pujamandap through puja celebration committee. Volunteers will assist law enforcement and facilitate information sharing. The TV channels of the neighboring countries are spreading lies, incitement and misleading news about obstruction, threats etc. in the celebration of Puja-When journalists asked what to do in this regard, the advisor said, Neighboring countries are saying many things – you know that.
